The US administration’s publication of an intelligence report that holds the Saudi Crown Prince and the kingdom’s de facto ruler reponsible for the high-profile killing of a journalist three years ago is aimed at recalibrating the bilateral relationship, although this will entail no concrete policy changes at least for now. US firms and other investors will become more cautious when doing business in the kingdom.
